Hi guys, I'm considering buying a B8.5 A4 Avant 2.0TFSI Quattro S-Tronic.
I had a B8 same as above before, can anyone inform me of any mechanical changes or revisions , more specifically in the Auto S-tronic and engine like piston rings, injectors , turbo But also any other things like bearings , suspension . or electrics .
I found my 2010 B8 (211ps) S-tronic to be a bit clunky and slow to engage & change at slow speeds especially from a stop.
Also It didn't disengage & lock handbrake automatically when stopped at lights - as my later VW & Skoda DGS's do. - which is really good. As you don't have to manually put into N and apply handbrake.
-Do the 2012 awards have a newer S-tronic more like the VW DSGs? I also found these to be a lot smoother better than my old 2010 S-tronic.
Or are there even more grearbox revisions through out 2012-2016 that I should be looking out for?
