I thought the Audi satnav updates all the time but for some reason it doesn’t know a road near my work is closed as a pedestrian area which has been like it for at least 2 years. It also doesn’t know a road is closed that has been closed for about a year for bridge repair. Shouldn’t it know all this as it’s live and updated traffic etc?

I wasn’t aware Audi satnav systems were live. I thought they still used static hard drive systems that need to be updated with new releases From time to time.
Map updates can be weird sometimes. We had a road work nearby with a detour over a year ago. Google maps shows the road right but if I ask it to navigate anywhere in that direction the nav route still shows the detour, even though it's not even on the actual map anymore.
It can only update based on the info supplied to the map provider(s).
Perhaps no-one has told them about the changes to the roads!
