Manufacturers warranty run out in November and I have a total mistrust of garages in general, so I will be carrying out its next service myself. The "service required in 30 days" popped up yesterday too. I've bought an oil Vacuum pump and will take out "up top", but never does any harm having a spare sump plug handy. Always worth spending the extra to a carbon activated pollen filter, imo, really does filter out any smells from outside.

How was that so easy. Did you believe the engine flushes are necessary. Why 0-20? Are you based somewhere cold. I swear by this oil called Millers Oils EE Performance C3 5w-30. it uses nano particles to reduce wear. Definitely agree on the activated carbon cabin filter

Its the first car I have ever had where you can do it from the top. My previous cars all involved jacking them up then removing a tray. Then there is the inevitable mess, no matter how careful you are taking the sump plug out and removing the filter some oil will always end up on the floor.
No I doubt on a low mileage car an engine flush is necessary, but for £10, why not. I'm very conscious of the fact the turbo will have small oil and return pipes, so always best practice to make sure your doing everything you can to keep them clear.
0/20 is the recommended specification for mine, there is a sticker on the slam panel stating the spec. My last 2 cars, Honda Civic's were both the same. TBH its always one of the reasons I dont use garages for oil changes, I've read many threads on other forum of the wrong oil grades being used.
If youve never done it using a suction pump before I highly recommend it.

For the pollen filter, I always go from a carbon dusted one up to a Frecious version when using MANN.
