Heated mirrors

Guys remind me what I need to do to get the heated mirrors to work please. Drove all the way to work with the heated rear window on, but the mirrors never cleared, which was fun.
 
what temperature was it? in previous models they only activated (with the mirror adjustment switch on older models) on below a certain ambient temperature, usually when the frost light is on so would assume its the same here with the rear de-frost.
 
It was 8 degrees and I've not had to worry about the temparature before. I'll have to dig out the manual and see what I missed.
 
I was looking for this the other morning and for the life of me could not find it l.
 
They are activated when switching on the rear heated window.
 
guessing not cold enough, there will be a limit where the system has a switch-on limit.
 
On my car you have to set the wing mirror position adjuster on the door to the heat setting (middle or heat). If it is switched to driver or passenger side it won’t heat them.
