Dip Stick Part Number

Looking for the part number for a Dip Stick for a 2022 2.0 T. Totally bamboozles me that they put a tube there, then a blanking plug. Must have saved them next to nothing to do it that way.

As far as I'm aware, a dipstick doesn't exist for the B9 that you can permanently keep in the dipstick tube.

Have a look for "T40178" on AliExpress. It's copy of the one the dealer uses (if not, the same). I have one for my RS4. Surprisingly good quality for the price. You'll need to find the settings for your engine.

No there isn't. I don't agree with it either. A cost saving, it's for the dealer to use a dipstick when they change the oil - if they do wish.

The same as you don't get a spare or a jack (unless Quattro)

I ordered one from a transporter to modify, as they have shortened the top of the tube there is no compatible one from the VAG range. So I need to shorten the handle and the stem.

The genuine one I'm modding is round and and plastic.

You can buy universal ones but there are generally metal, flat and sharp and will rub plastic from the sides of the tube that will drop in the oil. Well that's what I've found buying nasty cheap ones, metal or plastic. Tried rounding off the end of the meter ones but it's such a tight route down the tube, on my TFSI.
