I have not driven my car since end of February this year. I have been checking the tyres and topping up the battery throughout the period. Oil level good.
I took it out for a spin today initially slowly and once warmed I gave it a spirited drive and occasionally started to misfire and the engine light was flickering on/off.
after a very short while I took it easy and it still had some hesitation/trembling when I accelarated normally...occasionally.

VAG reported:
16684 random multiple cylinder misfires
16686 cylinder 2: misfire detected | P0302 - 35 - 00
Also 17864 and 17863 - whcih are intermittent issues and I have seen this in the past. They occasionally/rarely pop up and not too worried about them.
I was wondering could it be due to the petrol in the tank being in their so long as it was half full. Should I put some Redex in the petrol tank or fill it to the top with super? Or does that have nothing to do with this.

Bit strange how one cylinder is listed and it also throws a random/multiple cylinder too. Why even bother with specificly cylinder 2 as the 16684 covers ANY/mulitple cylinder!
It was perfectly fine prior to February.

Plugs and coil packs?
Fuel quality
Fuel pressure
Air leaks
Secondary fuel pickup from passenger side tank
FPR degraded

Coil pack wiring

I would start with copper BKR7s and coil packs.

The flashing eml is a hard fault, often misfires are not logged. I expect the multiple random misfires doesn't mean multiple cylinders, if means it has randomly misfired multiple times.
