Today my brother came to fit a new front door and his Golf R was due an MOT, so I picked him up and bought him back to finish the job. No issues so far. Two hours later!I take him back to pick up his car and this all pops up!

It’s booked with Audi to have a service shortly but *** what’s going on? Anyone else had this happen to theirs?

Been out and started the car this morning and no fault codes, it all appears a bit hit and miss. I’ve been so lucky with my RS3 with none of the other issues that some have had so I don’t understand why now this is happening. Any input/ thoughts would be appreciated.

Not that it will necessarily give you any comfort, but I had this happen about 300 miles into owning mine bought from new so was only those 300 miles on the clock), where all the electronic systems threw up error messages on the dash, and I mean everything, from ESC to lane assist, to traffic signal reading, etc., lighting the thing up like a bad set of Christmas decorations.

Luckily I was a mile or two from Reading Audi so popped in, outlined the issue, and we went to the car to take a look. Switched the car on after having been parked and locked for c.15 mins and there were zero signs of anything untoward. No error messages, fault codes or anything, and it's not happened again since.

Like you say, I think the level of electronics can cause the odd gremlin. I wondered if it was perhaps a slight blip or surge in the electrics that triggered it. Either way, not seen any sign of it since.

I've had loads of messages come up, granted not that many at the one time, but every time Audi look they find nothing.

You need a good indi with VCDS and VCP. Audi diagnostic has 2 modes (muppet/expert) it only gets put in the better mode when it gets escalated to a Master Tech. That is the way it used to work and don't think it has changed.
