Have 18 inch "coke bottle "style wheels. refurbishment is the problem in as much as I would like to get the wheels refinished to the original Audi standard with regard to colour and materials. My wheels have a matte grey colour finish with usual bright spokes. If this IS the standard finish, can anyone tell me the materials used on original, new wheels, particularly the spoke finish. Been offered a lacquer finish??

machining has been completed.

Sounds like they were the original "colour" though the inner should be a satin black/anthracite colour. The diamond cut parts of the wheel are just clear coated after cutting and polishing.

These are original in finish:

Make sure they use a Matt lacquer otherwise they will be shiny.

As far as I know they came in either satin/matt grey or black, no idea of paint codes etc. Ive had mine done a couple of times and went with gloss black last time over the original finish, imho they look better glossy but each to there own of course. mine were done by lookers bodyshop, if you dont mind me asking how much was the machining alone ? P.S. glossy seems easier to keep clean too

Thanks. My posting, or me, got a bit confused and I have since reposted. I have not had the machining completed. My concerns were really about materials used in the original wheels, as, hopefully is now a little clearer, in the second post. Thanks for your response.
