Messed up...... help pls with stop/start

So i got myself a new diagnostic machine ( newcar) and it had an option for disabling the stop/start system. I did a backup before changing anything and it worked yesterday. Went to work this morning and the icon had vanished from the mmi and the stop/start was working again but no way to turn it off.

Spend many hrs trying to figure it out and i even activated it again with the backup but the icon will not show

I also pulled the battery for 30 mins and also reset the mmi but no luck.

I have no idea what to try next apart from petrol and a box of matches.

Any suggestions would be great........

I don't have this model car but just thinking it through. So you used a one click type app in the diagnostic to disable it? That will probably have unchecked a few bytes in various modules so you'll probably need to go into each module long coding to look for the start stop option and see if it needs re-enabling

E.g. usually a byte to select in
Gateway module
Headlight regulator

Worth checking also
Engine
Brakes
Central electric

Yes it was a kind of one click turn off and the same to enable it again. That didn't work so i then tried to use the back up that i made before changing it and still won't show.
