2019 S3 Headlight Degredation

Evening

I’ve had my S3 since new, it’s well looked after by Audi and MRC etc, washed regularly in the correct way.

Both headlights seem to have the same degradation, the car is 2019 model with 36k on the clock.

You can see in the pictures it looks as though they are micro cracks, it’s definitely on the inside as the outside of them is clean and smooth.

Anyone experienced this before? Not very good considering age and mileage.

I have exactly the same as you, mine is always looked after. Probably certain brand of lenses, prone to these wear issues.

That and the yellowing LED Running lights.

KeepYourCarSafe, offers a service for replacement lenses and sorting out the LED yellowing. It's around £800 for a pair if I remember right. Might get mine done at some point as it lets the car down.

See this all the time. Had a 2017 R8 in the other day which was starting to show the issue and my best mates daughters 2015 Audi A1 has it all over her headlights, so affects all models. Lens need sanding and re-lacquering.
