How does this system work if fitted.

Is it driven by dedicated 4 x TPMS sensors in each wheel, or is it calculated by the rolling diameter / ABS wheel sensors?

On my 2010 8P S3 black Edition I was able to enable or retrofit TPMS with VCDS, as it was the latter. calculated through the ABS sensors, but i wasn't able to do the same on my 2012 8P RS3 Sportback as the ABS module was locked by SVM.

If you can see tpms pressures for each wheel the it's sensor based, if it's not then it's circumference based.

As for our rs, probably a non tpms controller, its stupid as it's purely a firmware change & costs vag nothing to implement hence why it was a £75 option irrc on new build 8P's.
