Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share my recent DIY project — I installed a 12.3″ touchscreen retrofit kit (compatible with the AerisAuto link below) in my 2012 A7. It replaces the factory screen and adds both wired CarPlay / Android Auto, plus the ability to flip back to OEM MMI when needed. Fits really clean, and the integration feels seamless.
Pic below shows the completed install — I think the look is tidy and modern.

Overall I’m really happy with the swap — it modernizes the infotainment without messing up the original feel. If you're on a similar C7 platform and thinking about a smoother CarPlay experience, this could be worth a look.
