rear wheel arch chip protection

Were all or any S1 cars provided with paint chip protection (film) on the leading edge of the rear wheel arches?
Looking at part number: 8X 3809387/8 for each side.

They normally get fitted to the later models when they get tired of complaints However, there's none on my S1 (factory ordered) and it's a MY18 car. So perhaps they were only used on the A1 or in certain countries?

Thanks.. So have bought a pair from Audi, now the issue is fitting, or more particularly placement. I have looked for info.without much success. Could you give me some guidance, or a pic of your installation, or a brief description of the "relationship" between the car rear arch and the trailing edge of the protection film, when fitted to your car.

Common sense tells me that this film edge follows the arch line in some way. I know I am making heavy weather of this, but getting it right matters. All of this assumes yours is factory correct as opposed to a DIY type effort that I am attempting, but not too bothered about that and very grateful for you interest/

It’s not very clear, but this is a pic of mine, the film overlaps into the door opening if that makes sense, hope it helps

Thanks for the help. All being well I will be successful. Have the factory Quattro foils to apply as well. These came with detailed instruction, which I had found on the web before ordering. Pleasingly there is no contradiction. Again, thanks both.
