My RS3 is coming up to 3 years old and I’m trying to work out if I want to renew anything. Feel like it’s a con having to pay and I do mainly use CarPlay now anyway. What is the consensus? Thanks.

I renewed the Audi connect remote as I had a key issue and had to use the remote lock & unlock.
Didn't bother with the Connect Nav and Entertainment as far as I could see the only thing that affected me was the loss of satellite view in the Nav
function. Not an issue though as you can just use Google Maps for Nav through car play. @£114/year it didn't seem worth it.

The remote lock / unlock is a handy to have. think it was around £46.

Thanks. I think we are on the same wave length and I’ve just done the same. It was £53 for 2 years. Looking at the ‘Infotainment’ options, it’s just not worth it as I pretty much always use Google Maps now via CarPlay as I really like it.

Totally get where you're coming from. I was in the same boat — once I started using CarPlay regularly, I found myself barely touching the built-in nav or connected services.

Unless there's a specific feature you really need from the renewal (like live traffic or remote services), it feels kind of hard to justify the extra cost, especially when CarPlay does most of it better and for free.

That said, if you're planning to keep the car long-term and want everything to work as intended for resale, it might be worth considering. But for everyday use? CarPlay covers 90% of what I need.
