3D augmented 360 camera view?

I noticed in an RS6 advert, their 360 camera can do a 3D augmented view. Does this take any more hardware or cameras that we don't have on the 360 cameras on the RS4?

Can this be coded into the car to be enabled? I presume not?

I imagine it will take more processing power to do this and probably won't be possible without changing the MIB unit if you can find one compatible with the B9.5.

My brother in laws 2022 A7 has 3D view. The MMI is slightly different as it has the ability to download and apply themes which I know requires additional hardware.

Having used 3D view, it doesn't add a lot to the standard 360 cams aside from looking cool

Thanks! Yeah I'm sure you're right that it's down to the internal hardware rather than any lack of cameras or sensors on the outside. Shame, but yeah I agree that's more a cool feature than actually being of any use.
