ESP Fault will not go off

Hiya all, got a 2011 1.8tfsi A3.

Needed a new battery two months ago, changed it. ESP fault came up and has not gone since. I was told it would go off when driven about by many forums - 3k miles later it hasn't. Any idea on how to fix it? Think it will fail my MOT. All help welcome please, Many thanks.

Needs on a diagnostic machine to determine the cause and see the DTC's stored.

Have you tried going full lock one way to full lock the other way? Expect you might have done at some point in 3k miles,, but just in case you haven't... I think you have to do that after a battery replacement to let it recalibrate the steering angle sensor endstops or something.
