Creaking/notchy steering

Has anyone replaced/lubricated the intermediate steering shaft on B8 S4?? My steering creaks a little through the steering wheel when turning the wheel, and I believe this is usually down to a seized joint on the shaft?

Just trying to see what sort of work is involved.

The videos on you tube feature LHD vehicles, where access is less restricted, RHD vehicles looks to be a different ball game, hence the reason I am asking if anyone on here has any experience.

Sorry - Not much help, but mine was changed by Audi with a former owner, so it is a problem and can be done. I have since got into the joint with Silicone Lube sprayed through a straw to keep it quiet and in good condition. (keeping the pedals covered with a cloth).
