OK folks so here we have a head ache.
I've got a consistent excessive brake pressure which is causing the brakes on all 4 wheels to bind. I've been through pretty much everything and have even changed out the ABS module with pressure sensor and reprogrammed it using VAGCOM but still got excessive brake pressure of 3 bar at idle with no brake pressure applied.
As a last ditched attempt to sort this issue out before scrapping the car I was looking to change out the brake master cylinder and the brake booster. Its a ****** job as its very tight working under the pedals in the footwell. I have purchased to special tool to try and remove the brake booster rod retaining brake pedal clip but cant get it to budge. https://www.neilsentools.com/produc...ase-tools-for-vag?_pos=1&_sid=58ea85c00&_ss=r
As an alternative there are two nuts on the brake booster connecting rod that I need to get at but its almost impossible due to bad access so was looking to remove the dead pedal to give me some more room. I've removed two bolts from the dead pedal but still cant remove it , tried pushing and pulling it in every direction and no joy.
Are there any more bolts to be removed from the dead pedal other than those shown with red dots in below image ? what is the method to get the dead pedal out ?
