Alarm keeps activating after locking

Had the new S5 for a month now. My alarm keeps activating itself ~5 seconds after locking via the key fob. Doesn't seem to matter what key I use and whether interior monitor is on/off.

Any ideas before I take it back to Audi? I tend to get home post 10pm each night, neighbours are getting ******!

IIRC this happened to me when I had left something on the rear seat. It’s all to do with the rear seat occupancy settings.

Ok thanks, will try disabling the rear seat sensor, see if it improves. There's definitely nothing on the rear seats so maybe a faulty sensor. A friend has a HEX-V2 he can plug in so will check for fault codes also. Thanks for the tip!
 
Chaps and chapettes, will Audi get ****** if I clear fault codes using VCDS? It's thrown up a whole bunch of errors, nothing has been cleared since it left the factory by the looks.

VCDS can't read newer cars properly because of SFD. It's likely that those "faults" are not faults and VCDS can't talk to the module until SFD is unlocked.

Oh interesting, good to know thanks. Guess I'll just give the car to Audi and see what they come up with.

Funnily enough my alarm went off (had the car two weeks) when sat on the drive.

Now I have the rear middle seat belt binging going off even though nobody is sat there. So I have plugged the seat belt in to shut it up.


Alarm not gone off since

Off to the stealer I go !

What's going on with the rear seats!? Been doing some testing, seems that deactivating rear occupancy detection each time I turn off the ignition has fixed my alarm issue. Will still take it back to Audi, see if they can sort it.
