Hey all, I am currently having a bit of a nightmare. My 2015 A4 allroad 2.0 tdi 190 (CNHA) has an internal coolant leak and it would appear that it is getting into the Cylinders as after the engine has been properly warmed up and left to cool down for 6+ hours the engine sometimes ends up locked and takes several attempts to fire up. It drives fine, no issues at all, also if the engine isn't warmed up properly or restarted within a few hours, it is fine. I will list everything that I think is relevant to this. I think it is either the EGR cooler or the intake manifold causing this issue but I'm not very clued up on this engine..
1. No Engine management light and no fault codes stored.
2. No running issues
3. No overheating
4. Engine locked after overnight sometimes
5. Radiator cap replaced as spring failed
6. Sniff test negative
7. No exhaust smoke
8. Clean under oil cap
9. Water pump was leaking and replaced along with timing belt (had only been done 3 years prior)
10. Starter motor and battery replaced replaced
11. Coolant goes down below minimum when the engine is hot and returns when cap removed
12. If the system is depressurised by removing the expansion tank cap after driving, no starting issues
Any help or advice much appreciated.
