Key sync to replacement ccm

So following on from a recent post about odd electrical issues.
I have found a used ccm with the exact same part number so have installed it and I’m hoping that has cured some of the issues.
However I can’t sync the keys now?.. I assumed as I’d got a ccm with the same part number that it would just work…

Any ideas on syncing the keys? Does it need to be done via vagcom/ vcds?

Yes, it did need vcds to connect my keys to the new ccm.
I thought it would just work being i got hold of a ccm with the exact same part number, including the 2 last digits..

But, keys are now sorted.. and everything works.. for now
