Niggly issues thread

Ha ha yes, i was 47 when i bough my S3 , now at 66 we are growing old together but seriously, i chipped it at 1k miles to stage 1, i took it to stage 2+ at 50k miles. Its now done 150k and it did a 0-60 in 3.57 seconds last month so still quicker than a new RS3 , they were very over engineered in those days , just keep on top of the servicing and it will see you out :)
As for most things annoy ? What i did 3 months ago now, is stop reading, looking at or following the news. its a bit like giving up smoking because we become addicted to the news but actually, its designed to wind you up and draw you in. There is nothing you can actually do about any of it. I watch streaming TV which doesnt have news, i turn it off on the radio in the car for a few minutes when it comes on and life is so much better :)
 
I have noticed that German cars have slowly declined. The best Audi for me was the b9 s4. I would go back to that in a heart beat.

I think now I would have a Toyota Corolla.

I have been wondering about the Formentor which uses the 333 Golf R engine.
they dont make a car for me anymore. I want 2 door because i like the large opening. I dont want it too low as i have trouble getting out now due to knackerd knee and i only need one seat :) My S3 is 2 door, its never had anyone in the back in 15 years and i cant think of more than 5-6 occasions its ever had a passenger at all :)
 
So car was back in the dealers today.

Drive assist fault has hopefully been fixed by rerouting the wiring for the gear shift paddles. A TLB is out for this issue and the wiring on the shift up paddle was loose.

EML wss cause by blocked charge cooler pump? Cleared, basic settings redone and EML gone. TLB for this issue too.

All other faults reported to them with picture evidence unsolvable as they clear and no DTC is stored.

We will see how long it behaves for this time.
 
Mine goes back tomorrow for investigation, my reverse keep applying the brakes sharply, acc is now broken again, Eml keeps coming on. Various of other error messages appear. See how I get on.

Blocked charge cooler pump. Wow. These are brand new cars !

Got the car back from the dealer yesterday late afternoon. Repair has been postponed until September or later as kd2s is the fix. I have told Audi finance that I’m not waiting any longer and want the car gone. They confirmed all the faults I had. Sent Audi finance a email last night so waiting for them to respond. If I don’t hear by Friday I will be chasing them. Had a gut full of it

I know how you feel. They told me KD3 was due in Feb when I wanted to reject mine. I am now hearing is Q4 this year. Glad I didn’t fall for it as I would be in the same spot as you now.

Thing is. If you get rid. What you replacing it with. I really didn’t fancy anything and struggled to decide.

That is the thing what do you get as a replacement, i wonder if i could find a decent A4 b9.5. Or s4 b9.5.

I genuinely don’t know. I just fed up with the false promises they give and it don’t work

I found a 23 plate A5 with 5000 miles on it. Never looked back

The cars are out there but you have to be patient and look about. I got lucky and had a car within 1 week of handing my B10 back

At the moment the finance company have not come back to me, I don’t know if it there way of getting me to take the offer of settlement but no way I’m taking it.
I just want rid off it without a massive cost to me. It has become a shambles in honesty and I’m kicking myself.

I will find a decent b9.5 s4 if I can. I don’t want to go bmw route but I got a feeling that if finance do reject it, there will be a catch here.

I hope they are as efficient with you as they were with my compensation.
 
Steering control failure, you can continue to drive. Android Auto disconnecting as wifi not available in the car. Will probably be fine on the way home from work.
