Anyone have any annoying issues with their cars?

Mine has decided it no longer wants to have wireless Carplay, connection via USB only.

Also the wireless charging is hit and miss. Unless the phone is in a specific orientation it refuses to charge. Previous A6 you just put it in the pad and off it went.

IOS 18.4.1 has been released recently to fix issues with CarPlay. Don’t use CarPlay myself so cannot confirm if fix work for Audi

Yep. Phone updated last night. Will see if it works this morning. Strange as it used to work when I first got the car.

It doesn't hurt to do a hard reset of the MMi too. That has fixed issues for me in the past.
 
The digital key has stopped working for some reason and i'm really struggling to fix it. I found it really useful having it in my phones wallet to unlock the car.
 
Carplay continues to be a problem.

Fixed it eventually today by hard resetting my phone (I hope), after multiple attempts at forgetting device and reconnecting. I never turn my phone off.

Had no issues with the digital key though.

There is an issue with CarPlay on iOS 18.4 and 18.4.1 even though Apple said it's been fixed in the latest version. It's been dropping out on my B9.5 too

Headrest speakers have stopped working for no reason. Hard reset MMi a few times hasn't fixed it yet.
 
Carplay still refuses to work. If I forget device then reconnect, it works for a fraction of a second then all connections are turned off.

I have to go into the connection manager/device and manually turn on the phone and media options. This enables the phone to connect using the MMI, but turning on the Carplay option results on connection failure.

Frustrating as the wife's iPhone works fine.

Next is try the facrory reset option.

You’re the man on Reddit ! I am the guy who got flamed for trading in my b9.5 for a black b10 with an engine light on which turned out to be a flat battery

No issue with locks at car play (yet) but rear seat belt sign is lit up and bonging away with nobody sat in the back. Sounds like a dodgy sensor in the rear bench

Back to the dealer I go !

Yes. Which has been sorted and a new one on order. The EML was just a flat battery as it had been stood in the showroom with no trickle charger on it.

Door locks seem to be fine at the moment. Thankfully.

Looks nice in black. My previous car was a C8 A6 and looked amazing when clean, which usually lasted a day. Any way, my B10 is likely to be swapped out by the dealer now as i've started that ball rolling.
 
Anyone had issues with the comfort opening for the boot? I got it to work once, but never again.

I know its a gimmick, but the other day when k really needed it, it just wouldn't work. No matter how much I move my foot t refuses to work. Function switched on in mmi, and illumination appears when I get near the boot.

Hit and miss. There is a knack to it, but I don't always get it right. I just wished the boot locking button worked. It just beeps now.
 
Stop start button is now sticking:weary:. Throws up a stop start error on dash.

There is a knack. Waving your foot under the light doesn’t work. You have to lift your foot up and touch the bottom of the bumper with your shoe. Which gets you dirty shoes !

Same for locking it

Tried that. It just beeped at me.

Now staring to get a succession of electrical gremlins.

Drivers Dash stopped working 2 days ago, luckily we have the HuD. Started working later in in the day.

Stereo output stopped today. Car had to be turned off, left for 10 mins for everything to shut down then sound returned.

Last week the alarm has started to go off randomly.

Stop start button issue is now becoming more regular. I feel a trip to the dealer coming on because I'd hate to be left stranded.
 
Twice now, I have got into my car in the morning and the drivers seat is fully reclined.

Interesting. Mine occasionally does not move forward into the driving position, and i'm sure forgets settings. every once in a while.

Rear seat seatbelt alarm still broke

Rang the dealer 5 times to speak to someone. Nobody calls back.

I blasted the receptionist @ Manchester Audi and said if the service manager doesn’t ring me by close of play Audi UK are getting a complaint.

Guess what

No call

Furious. I am done with em.

Fixed the seat myself. Took me 10 minutes by ripping a bit of sticky backed foam off the sensor location.

Other than that no issues. But only done 600 miles or so in 6 weeks

I would still complain to Audi. I did it, and although it's taking a while because of the Finance company I can't fault them for their customer service. Just a shame that doesn't extend to the dealers.
 
Car requires a new stop/start button. One has been ordered, but they don't know how long it will take.

Parking up on my drive and all sorts of safety warnings come on and it tells me the hill hold assist (lit up in yellow) comes on saying it cannot be applied.

I switch it all off and it says hand brake is not on. Even though the button is lit up red and says car is at risk of rolling away

Gave it ten minutes went back out and all seems to be fine but it’s thrown the EML

Rings dealer and first appointment for diagnostics is 20th July.

Call Audi Assistance, EML is known software problem. Dealer recommended me to call them when I had a problem with EML staying on. Technician came same day as call and cleared fault codes and light. Supposed to be new software due soon.

Wonder if it’s done over the air. CLEANED THE CAR yesterday and now the EML has gone off.

Weird

Now don’t know what to do. Still go the dealer ?

Yeah, use the button in the roof to call Audi. Theyre very efficient and an engineer will come next day at the latest.
 
The only issues I had with my A5 Edition 1 is the ecu lockout, software fix meant to be in Q4, Seat randomly moves back. Doors dont always unlock or open. MMI does not report back to app properly. Digital keycard I find is poor.
 
Cannot for the life of me get data over the wifi hotspot. No internet from the phone or access to the internet radio stations etc. Any ideas?

I've got the allocation of data, but when I log on to the 'internetinthecar' site, it says its not paired with my car.
