Sad day - woke up to discover that thieves broke in last night and stole the keys and the car off the drive. Probably long gone by now but please keep an eye out as it's quite distinctive.

Thanks.

Oh no, that’s terrible news. I don’t have mine yet, but have already been thinking of places to hide the keys when I get it.

really sorry to hear mate.

Can you see from your MyAudi app where it is now? Shouldn't it be impossible only if the factory settings have been reset? A random thief might not know how to do that.

Have you heard anything further? Really sorry this happened to you.

I can't see a way of seeing where my car is on the MyAudi app. Maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks all. I checked the Audi app first thing and there was no location shown. I called up Audi support and they said they had some location information but they could only share it with the police directly. It took some hours and chasing to get someone assigned to the case and then they were struggling to get through to the right team at Audi.

The copper who eventually came to the house after was very pessimistic about seeing the car again. They seemed to be very professional in the way they got in and used gloves, face coverings, wifi jammers etc. Felt very much like a targeted job.

Needless to say I'm gutted and full of "what ifs" right now but I'm just focussing on getting a fair valuation from the insurance.

Sadly they are clued up these days.
Usually the telematics module is the first thing they unplug.
Better off investing in 3rd party options.

Wold not wish it on anyone. Hope all the paperwork like Gap insurance covers the money aspect.
As 8YARWY, mentioned, 3rd party tracker/immobiliser is a must these days,, then again would I want it back!?.

My wife's grandparents had their flat broken into last week. The c+nts who did it thought the Mercedes parked outside was theirs, it wasn’t. They live on the ground floor and when they woke up, all the doors were wide open, including the bedroom. So they'll have seen them asleep in be, f+ck that!!! I’d honestly rather leave my keys in an obvious place than have those bast@rds come upstairs while I’m sleeping.

I had an attempted break in at my place too, about a year ago or so, maybe around 2 am. They were after my X3M at the time. Started kicking the front door in when I came flying down the stairs shouting every obscenity under the sun. Scum

What happened to that message from "brownpanther" this morning? I was going to respond but it's been removed.

Yeah - probably spam. New user and 1 post did seem suspicious but I was prepared to try it with a temp email.

Wouldn’t have wasted your time or effort. It’s the same tripe posted on Facebook on groups.

drop me a message on ucnvmna@gmail.com - absolutely ridiculous about FB group spam or whatever crap the other guy posted! How old are you to still be using FB? Ain’t got the time or energy to be spamming if I didn’t have info!

Hi, if you have any info regarding this then please pass it on to Crimestoppers anonymously using crime reference number 45250045025. Thanks.

There was a similar incident with a Red Audi Rs3 in Hornchurch area.

Police have been involved for both incidents and sometimes until you do something yourself and present the facts sadly nothing happens. Yes could be coincidental but three incidents with a similar number of males involved and car - I highly doubt?
