Just experiencing major problem.
Battery gone dead after 4 days non use - key fob does not work ( nor spare ) despite replacing batteries in both. One key lock is on Drivers side and despite any combination of pressing & twists, lock will not move.
So bent a thicker coat hanger to shape with hook at end , and caught handle back to appox 70 degrees solid .. Door will not release though. Even with key inserted.
Everything just appears deadlocked with no life . SUGGESTIONS please

Tbh if you could reach up from under, to something that is a permanent battery feed you could clamp & use chassis ground to get it to unlock.

Futurewise fit a ctek or the like clamp trailed into the wheel arch area incase of issues like this so you can get access to the battery if it's locked up.

SUCCESS GOD BLESS WD40 & pair of mole grips

Thanks to ALEX of BUCKINGHAMS WOKING AUDI.

The outer drivers manual lock plus key are unlikely to have been used for a long time. WD40 overnight. Some wiggling at base of key with grips and it started moving.

Then on Roadster there is black manual handle contained with the vertical compartment behind the seats. Another strong pull and boot unfastens to give access to battery.

Roll on summer
