Boot lighting

I seem to be posting on here all the time at the moment.

Does anyone think the lighting in the boot of the A3 is insufficient ? There is one small light to the right hand side of the boot that isn't effective.

My last A3 had two lights (Left and Right) which was better

I did have a brief look online to see how things could be improved but not really got myself an answer i was looking for.

There is a storage package option available for A3, it includes the nets behind the front seats, driver side "glovebox" - and the second boot light. I haven't seen a single car with that option ticked, other than S3's which have it as standard, at least in Finland. Better so, because S3 now costs more than the pre-FL RS3.

I bought the driver's glovebox as a spare part, cost €50. The storage package was like €300 after taxes.

Yes I had that in my 2018 model that I just traded in. It’s not something you really think about until the new car comes

We offer a solution for this - we can either supply extra bright bulbs for the existing light or create you a plug a play additional light to go on the opposite side of the boot.

I spec'd this option on mine mate, but a UK car like

We Finns are niggardly car buyers. I don't have much use for the seatback nets so decided to save €250 and just buy the glovebox thing as a spare part.

I have the storage pack on mine and the extra light is an improvement but not by much, although changing to LED lamps did make a bit of an improvement.
Would of prefered another 2 lamps further back as well.

My saloon has one LED light positioned in the centre top of the boot space and seems to be bright enough for me anyway. My old A3 just had one old style bulb on one side, which wasn't that good.
