I’m back after a long hiatus from the RS scene, had a 2015 RS3 8V and loved it before getting an itch for a NA big engine so bought a C63 but got bored and swapped to an E63, then school runs changed and so did my job so we needed something we could pile miles on and bought a Ford focus.
Thankfully that misery has ended and I could look at something I wanted again. Went through the dealer sites and there were the odd G80 M4, X3M, A45s but none of them tickled my fancy, I really fancied the Alfa Gulia QF but wouldn’t touch one without dealer warranty and that’s like hens teeth.
To be honest the only car I’ve ever missed was the RS3 so if I went to the dealer, they have great residuals better than equivalent M5 comps, A45s and pretty much anything in the same price bracket!
I finally settled on this one which is for sale in Bexley if anyone knows it? I pick it up next week.
Just a couple of questions,
1) it’s not on par noise wise to the 8V and I knew that but is there anything to be done that gets good results, don’t mind a cat back but it doesn’t bother me to point of dropping 6k on an Akra exhaust.
2) is there anything aftermarket (carbon, Alcantara) that can replace the huge gloss black plastic around the gear selector section?
3) I don’t like the fact there’s no alcantara on the steering wheel so does anyone recommend a replacement?
