Just a couple of pics of my A5 Avant Launch Editions.

The Daytona one was rejected after 63 miles having completely died on me and locking me out!

Ascari was provided as replacement.

Nice. I did consider the Ascari blue, but as the out going A6 was blue went for a change. Plus I think White it the best shade, but I'm biased.

Locking you out? What happened? Mine has a central locking fault and locks me out too.
Firstly I could not open any doors with convenience opening set so unlocked with fob. On start up lots of warnings on dash then having pulled away car shut down on me. No power to anything! Got out of car to get spare key from house (in case key at fault) closed door which immediately locked. As there is no actual key to unlock(blade in fob turns off airbag) I called Audi Assistance. AA arrived and eventually got car open and started up. Car taken to dealers for investigation and later they told me car was now OK but could not be released until approval given from factory. After 2 weeks waiting for release I rejected the car. Collected new one and was told a software update had been issued for locking system which had been done on the new one. No further locking issues have been encountere.

That's interesting and very similar to my issue. My car wouldn't lock/unlock either and that new handle design is a nightmare. My dealer still has my car and there has been no mention of a software update. It was almost funny when I went to collect the car from them and couldn't unlock it, after they said they had fixed it a second time. My complaint is now with the Audi Executive office here in the UK. They called me and said it was a priority, but I don't know what will happen next yet.

My dealer was brilliant regarding the rejection. I was offered a replacement from within the group in the same colour (Daytona) but I was reluctant to go the same again and asked if it was possible to acquire the Ascari one from another group dealership. They agreed it was possible and within a few days it had been transferred, PDI’d, taxed and registered and handed over.
Customer Services contacted me a week or so after delivery regarding my rejection progress and were unaware the dealer had already done the swap.
