Secondary water pump

The last year with S3 has been a royal pain !

Yesterday coolant dripping out everywhere, looked it over today and spotted the in or outlet to the secondary pump had snapped off.

So part number 0392020039, I've bypassed the pump and topped up the system temporarily.

My mechanic will sort later in the week.

Question is how much coolant do I need and is it a coolant / water mix and which coolant G12, 13 or is it 14 now ?

Also had a rear spring snap this morning
Finally sorted headlight levelling issues
Replaced windscreen

Plenty more to do, fuel sender or cluster doesn't read right, headliner, door cards, possible oil leak, some suspension clunks up front, sort scuttle out, sort door blades.

7-litres approximately 50/50 mix is a good all-rounder! The specification is G12 with distilled or deionized water but I have been using the purple G13 for a few years now with no problems @MPH
 
I’d get the pump replaced ASAP as it pumps coolant around the turbo for 10 mins each time the ignition is turned off.
I’d also recommend buying only Bosch as a replacement, no need to fork out a fortune for a Genuine Audi pump, the OEM factory pump was Bosch and the Bosch replacements from motor factors are identical to the factory originals but at a fraction of the cost.

Yes I intend to, seen the pump for £60. I'm doing next to no mileage at the moment.

I had or did have G13 in and no issues there, am I OK with G13 spec or does it have to be VAG. I have seen G13 evo popping up in my search, any thoughts ?
