Hi folks, I've noticed a whacking great crack at the top of my windscreen, in the shaded section where the sensors are (which is why I'd not noticed it, I suppose).

Does anyone in the south have a good recommendation of a replacement service that'll provide OEM glass? I'm in Berkshire, so ideally around there, but I'd travel a little for a top quality service..

Cheers!

They weren't willing to cover for OEM glass, only for the installation of OEM equivalent glass from the usual national fitters. I've had poor experiences in the past (poor quality glass, creaking screen, etc.), so was keen not to have a repeat situation.

I ended up paying out of my own pocket for a proper OEM replacement and managed to book in with Paul from Glasstec to install it.

His reputation precedes him and his work was excellent. Would highly recommend him for anyone else who is as fussy as I am about quality of work!

Won’t your insurance cover it ?
Getting OEM glass out of an insurance these days is a PITA even if you can do it. Other thing is it goes down as a claim on many policies whether they admit it or not. You will end up paying for it through a hike in premiums anyway.
