cleaning tips for chrome windscreen

Hi

Any one suggest cleaning tips for the chrome windscreen surrounds on a cabriolet ?
and any ways of stoping the white cloudyness etc..

Can you post a picture please?

You can try a little Autosol on a damp microfibre cloth, but this does sound like oxidisation under clear coat. Forum is littered with this sort of thing and only option is to replace or wrap.

They’re not chrome, and that’s the problem. They're anodised aluminium and the user manual specifically warns against using chrome cleaner because it causes cloudiness.

I have a 2015 A8L Quattro. The aluminum around the windows is starting to get spots and discoloration. Do you have any ideas on what I can use to clean it?
I assume it's aluminum. It started three years ago. The car still looks great. Very expensive to replace all of the moulding.

I’ve had similar issues with my A4 B8. Using a mild aluminum polish like Autosol with a soft cloth helped, but the cloudiness often returns. Considering wrapping the trims might be a more lasting solution.
