Facelift Weird 3 clicks when lock / unlock doors. (Intermittent)

Hi guys. I had my 2018 8v RS3 since new. Recently, especially morning. When I unlock the car before start engine, you hear those 3 clicks near rear exhaust area. Also happens when I lock the car too.

Driving me crazy, been search for ages. Some say Exhaust Flap actuators. But should not activate before engine starts right? What else can it be? Fuel flap central locking?

Appreciate if any experience this can give pointers.

Found out to be the Exhaust Flap Actuator trying to reset to initial position BUT failed. Hence repeated a few times re-try.

I replaced it. Opened it up, really too much beyond my ability to trouble shot. Easier & cheaper just replace. A common VW, BMW parts. 80133246B


Yes, you can replace it without taking off the exhaust nor jacking up the car. M10 nut.
