Copied and pasted from another forum .Since this problem occurred, changed the fuel filter, Still when priming air bubbles are rushing around in a cycle, diesel /air /diesel / air. eventually it started yesterday using easy start spray , undoing the fuel metal lines at the rails ( can't get a spanner in to undo at the injectors). It idliled for 10 mins ish. Stalled. Tried again the same methods, , no start..
So tired obd11 as pm mentions , one relay test , started the inline pump, under car next to fuel filter., but the other relay test, all i heard were clicks, presume clicks were relay, no pump sound. So would i be right in thinking pump under back seat is not working? Prior to this, when priming or testing lift pump as its called in obd11, can hear a pump working , but when i've gone to listen to pump under seat , can't really hear anything. Don't understand why there are 2 pumps , within feet of each other? one in tank under back seats., one under drivers door ? i hear one pump , but sound and vibration travels ,
undid the line coming out of the hpfp to rails , while cranking and spaying easy start., fuel literally gushed out. .therefore the pressure is there at the hpfp. But it does not seem to hold the prime. Fuel is syphoning backwards . Also when key is pushed in can see the diesel move in the pipe from tank to hpfp ,also sits a large air bubble.
Battery is being killed each time i run lift pump to prime, to cranking spaying easy start 2 full tins so far used, and cracking open the fuel lines.
However what was noticed , pressure at the fuel rail drivers side r/h, the pressure seems to be higher , than other side rail, and the injector close to to passenger seat, only a dribble comes out at that fuel line ???
Also when it did start air bubbles were seen gushing through the pipe from tank to hpfp. If it is a leak , surly it would be seen under car ??
