What do you mean by VAG software?
If your referring to ODIS that dealers use I think you need a license for that which will then allow you to download it & I think the license’s are only available to the trade not the general public.

Cheers, I've just bought a Carly that claims to be able to read VAG and let you change things.
Carly, Carista or OBDelevn are all very good from what I’ve heard.
Haven’t used them myself but I believe they all have slightly different abilities.

Just got an email from Germany with tracking details.

be careful of Carly... as promoted by every auto Youtuber these days. They profess to do everything but in reality they dont and Carly are absolute ******** when it comes to how they sell their devices. I have an OBDEleven unit and has lifetime use ( no yearly subscription) and 100 credits for doing certain adaptions etc. However Carly trick you into getting the device for free and then lumber you with an onerous sibscription (which autorenews BTW ) and even then their tool is not the best. So be careful on that. I tried to get a refund and it was painful. The other software is VCDS but again fairly expensive however its what garages use.. there is a list of users on there that have them
I'm a big vcds fan and user, I would only recommend it to be honest it does all you can need and more.
