Binotto Confident Audi Are Now Back On Track As 2025 Begins

Binotto Audi F1

With Audi's earlier confirmation of their decision to increase their investment in sporting pursuits and officially enter the world of Formula One racing, it has undoubtedly been a busy, difficult and tumultuous time for the German car manufacturer and as we enter the 2025 racing calendar, they are now into their final 12 months of preparation before their full entry in the year of 2026.

Team plans, car plans, the tie up with Sauber, engineering works and building developments for the new head quarters, it has very much been 'go, go, go' for Audi for the last few years and having originally appointed former McLaren boss Andreas Seidl, that too has led to problems for them as they needed to replace him with Mattia Binotto back in July to get their own plans back on track. For fans who like a flutter, they will be looking at the odds on Audi taking it way too close to the line with their plans but for those who use online casino games those worries in how they gamble don't form part of the equation, so it's not quite a thought intensive.

In more recent days Binotto has been back in front of the media and he admitted that the Audi F1 team had basically been left 'frozen' by Seidl as he had become way too focused on the long term racing future, and was not putting the more immediate steps and plans in place so that they were in the best place possible to build for a long term racing future.

Chairman Oliver Hoffman was also jettisoned and sacked for overseeing this progress failure, and with time now tighter than ever, this is absolutely going to be a huge year for their aspirations, and Binotto is laser focused on ensuring that their direction of development is spot on, and that the entire team are motivated and energised to make sure that they are fully ready come this point next year.

Given what he walked into as he described it in his interview, it has been a tough opening six odd months for him as he put their plans back on supercharge and got everyone singing from the same hymn sheet again but he seems pretty confident with the work that he has done, and where the company find themselves right now in all aspects of their various plans and ventures.

He was also pretty philosophical about things, and following his appointment to the position Sauber did pick up points in the final race of the 2024 season, and whilst that was a small boost and proof they were back on track, they are again favourites to finish last in 2025 but he seems determined to prove a few people wrong as well.
