I recently purchased a used 2018 A4 Avant and noticed recently that the rear passenger vents isn't producing any air. I then got an OBDEleven and scanned the car and it came back with three fault codes for the HVAC system.

B11AF07 – Fresh Air Door Motor
B109207 - recirculation flap motor
B109307 - Rear Air Distribution Door Motor

When I clear the codes sometimes they go away but then they always come back. Is this an expensive repair? I'm thinking just to return the car as now I'm wondering what other issues the car might have that the dealer overlooked but not sure. Also is this something that I can force the dealer to take the car back over?

When you say dealer, is this approved used Audi? If main dealer they are meant to do 150 checks, but I would take that with a pinch of salt. As part of the preparation for resale they should have scanned the car.

If independent garage, yes, get them to fix.

There are a few of these flap motors on the car. Personally, I’d get them to resolve. Will mean removing part of the dash or drop the glove box, etc.

Either the flap motor is broken or the nylon teeth on the cog are stripped. I’d also want to scan with VCDS to pinpoint.

It wasn't Audi approved but the dealer uses RAC to approve their cars and carry out their checks. I like the car so I don't want to return it but I have requested the dealer to get it fixed.

It's been a while since I've been on this forum, so don't know if you have got this repaired.
My car had the same issue and was with the same 3 motors as yours.
In my case, I managed to source genuine replacement motors from Ebay - much cheaper than buying from a dealer and replaced them myself - access was a little awkward, but not impossible.
You'll need VCDS to code them in - basically re-address the new motors, then re-learn the flap endpoints.
BTW, I took one of the faulty motors apart, and it's so simple in design - if memory serves, Audi are charging about £250 per motor!
