Hi all

Hope you can help, I recently changed a bulb in my offside headlight, however it's now stopped working (driver side still fine), I've read through a couple of threads here and I'm thinking it's probably the ballast that's gone, can anyone help with the correct part number or a link to the correct replacement, I've messaged a few people in eBay, as eBay tells me it's the right part from my reg but the sellers are telling me it won't fit my car.

Also seen something about 3rd party parts having reverse polarity or something

Or if you think the issue could be something else ? And Is it worth upgrading any part as I've also seen people mentioning 35w upgrading to 55w is this worth doing whilst I'm at it

I've had the multimeter on the bulb fitting and can't see any power going to it.

Sorry for all the questions

Many thanks
Mike

Hi, Mike presumably you have checked all the correct fuses next to the drivers dashboard panel as I think left and right are on separate fuses and also had a good look at the wiring. All the best @MPH https://webautocats.com/en-gb/etka/audi/a3/201/941200/ link to part numbers etc https://webautocats.com/etka/audi/a3/209/941200/

Thank you

I've checked the fuses, I need to take the bumper off this weekend so I'll have a proper look at the wiring then

Thanks for the part numbers

Also on that link you provided, I think I'm looking at the right part , it says :

control unit for gas discharge
lamp
** not exchangeable **

Sorry for so many questions but how do I find the part, as no part number is listed on the link ? Do you have any links to an alternative that most people use

Thanks again
