Hi,

Been having some trouble with condensation build up (as pictured, this is inside), anyone else have this problem ?

The car isn't being used an awful lot and my commute is about 2 miles a day.

I left a dehumidifier in the car over night and it didn't really do much, in terms of water deposit.

Did have the screen replaced in December but it hasn't rained for a good few days and last time I checked the mats are dry. The scuttle panel isn't completely flush at the ends but from when I've seen underneath this shouldn't make a difference.

Thanks

Matt

Hello @mattyboy199 firstly have you checked your door seal's boot seal etc? Are there any possible leaks sunroof if you have one? Before I go on and tell you mine is now having the same issues after a new screen and ill-fitting brand new scuttle panel on occasion if any spots on the sealant are not perfect I would imagine this to be a possible cause maybe even the scuttle no longer fitting perfectly like it used to mine was o.k until the screen/scuttle and that's a 1997 A3 so you are not alone on this one @MPH P.S HAVE YOU CHECKED THE CABIN FILTER LATELY???

strange reading your comments guys. I too had this issue quite a lot BEFORE i replaced the windscreen. Now that it has been replaced I do not see it anywhere aas near as that much.......go figure!
Albeit my windscreen was replaced twice after the first one was fitted badly, bit of a bodge job. please note I am not advocating changing it twice in order to make things better! Just as a side note I purchased an original new top windscreen rubber so the fiiter had to remove what the replacement screen came with and fit my supplied one. I think it looks far better, but it may be more than just looks...?

Also agreed that rubber seals around the doors always get a mention when these issues occur.

I had my new screen removed because the scuttle panel would not fit and the second one I found the fitter had stuck it down with butyl sealant when I wasn't looking cheeky fu##er

Thanks for the replies everyone.

We had reain today so checked door and boot seals, no visible water ingress.

Pollen filter and scuttle as pictured but again

Everything looks ok here, filter needs replacing but can't see much in terms of damp
