Has anyone bought a dipstick for there vehicle instead of using the cars level. I have been looking on the usual sites but it's a mine field so i would like to know if anyone has a part number so i purchase the correct one.

Mine is a 2.0tdi mild hybrid 2019......

Have you checked that your engine has a dipstick tube? My 2015 S4 did, and was fitted with a blanking tube, which I removed when I bought a dipstick. But my 2018 SQ5 (petrol) had no dipstick tube and nor does my 2024 SQ5 (diesel).

Yes the car has the tube there and a blanking bung in it. The sticks i have found cost £30... £40 so if possible i would like the correct one.

Absolutely; finding the right part number for your specific engine is the hard part. Don’t rely on an Audi dealer to identify a part number for you; from experience they tend not to be that helpful. Your best hope is to find out the part number first (maybe someone here will know) and then go a dealer snd order the part.

Hi did you get a dipstick?

I’m currently trying to buy one for my a6 3.0 tdi claa engine and I’m finding it a nightmare trying to pin down the correct part number or specific part needed.
Even figuring out how much oil this car takes is difficult to figure out- either 8l or 6.5L seems to be the opinions but every search/answer is different

Mine is the 2l tdi and i got one from a 2013 passat 2l tdi. On my screen it shows the oil at the max level and it shows the same on the stick and its a good fit.

As you say its difficult to find the correct stick but from what i have seen if you find a similar engine but older model its worth the gamble of it working.
