Hi all, looking for some help from you knowledgable people, please.

A few days ago I got the ’Right dipped Headlight’ fault appear on the dash.

I’ve bought a replacement bulb from GSF

They seem to match the text on the one removed, but it doesnt work when replaced.

I had tried to check new bulb on the left hand headlight. But couldnt get close to removing the bulb cover in the left side, could open it, but not move it enough to get my hand in. (Its also -1 out and dark)

Could the bulb be wrong? Or could it be an electrical wiring issue, would this give the same error?

I have an MOT this friday, so perfect fecking timing!

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Bootlid rear light 1 of 4 has failed recently
Heaters / Blowers have failed.
And now this.

Thanks Tom

Probably the ballast on the bottom of the headlamp

As already mentioned it's likely the ballast, the bulb looks correct and should be a D3S.

If you can swap the bulbs to confirm the issue is probably the ballast then that's a good start. It will require the bumper off to get the light out to get to the ballast unit. One of those while you're there jobs, you'd be best also changing the other. As you have an MOT soon they will align the lights as they are a pain to put back perfectly so you're not blinding everyone:icon thumright:

As above, if bumpers of just swap both bulbs, personally I've gone led d3s bulbs & haven't looked back, hids-direct sell good D-Lumina units for very reasonable prices.
