Noisy Audi A1 on cold start

Hi, this car is 3 months old. It’s done less than 1500 miles and makes a terrible noise on cold start up. Audi say it’s normal. I have another car the same that has never done it so it can’t be normal. Anyone got any idea on how to fix it?

Yep - seems to be normal for about 20 seconds or so on a very cold (Winter start). Mine does it (March 2024 car 5,000 miles now) and I watch some guys on Youtube who fix crash damaged cars they buy from auctions and they've done several with the VAG 1.0 engine and they've also remarked about this slightly noisy start up.
