Hi Folks

Going to be changing the Rear Brake Pads in the new year on my 2020 SQ5, and wondered which fitment type I need to look for?

This is advised on the Carparts4less website, so want to ensure I purchase the correct item

Also out of all the brands, which one does everyone recommend, and is it worth changing discs over at same time or not?

Does it matter which MFTR I purchase?

I don't think the SQ5 uses any special pads or discs, so presume I can buy Brembo etc...

Is it better to just change all 4 at the same time or just the sets if one side is down, like rear or front?

I got turned on to Ceramic Brake Pads years ago on my 300ZX that dusted the wheels like crazy due to the design of the wheels. The difference in dusting was shocking - after that these are all I use and have used them on all my BMW's and will be putting them on my Audi when it is finally due. I usually use the Akebono brand, but don't think they make the fronts for my SQ5 yet. Hope they do by then, but if not I will find a different one that does.

I was advised by Audi my Rear Brake Pads are at 5mm which was in September 2024.

This was only an advisory, but should I now change the pads, or how long would 5mm be before they must be changed?

My fronts were changed 2021

Brakes will have normal usage, not a hard breaker.
