Hello!
My first post, but important one

I am owner of Audi S1 2014.12
S1 got flooded around 50cm, not sure if this is a reason, but after I completely dried the vehicle, I managed to drive only 50kms before I heard a rod knock from the engine.
There is also metal flakes in the oil, so engine has to go.
Question, maybe anyone has done the research before

Which engines is straight fit exapt the stock CZW, as it seems to be very few on sale and prices are very high for good engines.
CZW is build on ea888 platform as I know of, is it possible to put the engine which stronger internals from S3 or GOLF R (CJX) without making modifications? I understand that ECU will need a correct mapping tho, but wounder if mecanicly, the engine will fit.
Or, from a GOLF GTI?

Will be very thankfull for advice.

Golf GTI engine is a little different internally but they are very similar. You'd be better off with a Golf R/S3/TTS engine and swapping the turbo to the smaller S1 item if you want to keep the same output/behaviour or mapping to suit the IS38 that those engines run.

All of the above engines will go straight in, the differences are internal AFAIK
