Facelift s3

Has anyone yet found out if it’s the same engine and power as the pre fl? As most 0-60 tests on YouTube seem to be the same? So wondering if the pre fl also has 333bhp but just understated at saying it’s 310?

Nope - my 2024 S3 facelift has aluminium paddles
I though all facelifts came with plastic ! is your car a 24 or 74 ? Because the car I saw at the dealer was a 24 it had electric tailgate and my car is the same spec on 74 and it dosent have it !they made changes for some reason.

Assuming electric tailgate is for hatchback only ?

The reason I ask is I had issues over the years with the saloon rear lights (small cracks inside).

Audi replaced them twice, I wondered if it was the power of the boot being shut (noticed the boot I closed recently allows the boot to be almost closed and then a gentle final push to close it v the original which required decent force).

can you share part #s? is it an easy diy?
That’s the part numbers (pictured) for left and right paddles.
Plug n play

Installation, depends on your ability tbh, it was simple and straight forward tbh

If you’re local (ish) to Lincoln, I can instal them for you - we can work something out.

The showrooms only seem to have the BE (and a Aberdeen have it with £4k off the price which caught my eye )…
There are quite a few Vorsprungs on Autotrader (saloon and sportback). The ones with only delivery mileage are all around £52k. All with a round steering wheel so plastic paddles.

Not sure what you mean by 24 or 74 as in Northern Ireland we operate a different regiistration system and i have a personal plate anyway. Mine is a facelift 8y S3, registered on 24 Aug 2024. I have aluminium paddles and no electric tailgate

LesleyG, your car is a pre-facelift (24 plate), yours will have the “chicken nugget” style gear shifter
The facelift cars (74 plate >) in the UK have the shallow, almost flush to the panel type gear shifter

But i have a facelift car - see photo

wasn the original question asking about gear paddles ? ie the paddles you use to manually change gear, and not the gear leaver (d/s, p, n). Yes my facelift car has a flush gear lever, my pre-facelift car had an aluminium gear lever.
My facelift car has aluminium paddles, which is what the original poster asked i think ?

I was thinking I wonder if Audi N.Ireland are sourcing the EU variant of S3 from down south v Britain.

I hope it’s not the case but it’s odd some have aluminium paddles while others have plastic..

Might take a trip over to Audi Belfast :)

I was only using the gear selector as a reference to identify the difference in pre and post facelift and what year number plate it is on in the UK as you mentioned you’re from ireland
sorry for confusing the situation

the metal paddles are standard for EU countries i believe.

Britain delivered cars have plastic tat

And not only plastic tat, I think the option for red stitching is also left out (like a few years back when RS3 coloured stitching / steering wheel / ventilation fronts didn’t make it to the UK)!

Audi UK seem to know what’s best for us ….

Mine came direct from Germany to Belfast via port of Grimsby

But you should definitely come to Audi Belfast - they’re always so helpful !

Not to get political as that’s clearly inappropriate here and i wouldn’t deeam of doing that but Northern Ireland is technically in the UK, not Ireland. My car is a UK spec car, not an EU spec car. I have a UK delivered car (port of Emden to Grimsby, then on to Audi Belfast) and i have aluminium paddles and a flush gear selector.

While I live in Scotland, I grew up in Belfast, I wasn’t meaning to fire up any debate on N.Irish cars being brought in via different routes, just trying to understand what the story is if you want aluminium paddles from factory:)

While growing up there, I always remember cars being very highly spec’d, more so than Scotland for sure.

It would be interesting to see what the current deals are compared to Scotland.
Wee family visit in order I think :)

You'll be lucky if you get one with an electric tailgate. It seems most UK models have a manual one except for the press cars (at least mine does as do the 2 I test drove).

So there are some early registered (facelift) S3's here in the U.K. but all the early cars where allocated to managers at my dealer, so when I went in to see one it was on a 24 reg so registered before 1st Sep. Like this one https://www.group1auto.co.uk/used-c...ck-ed-quattro-5dr-s-tronic-[tech-pro]-339696/

It's really odd, the one I saw had the aluminium paddles and electric boot lid and it was a black edition with tech pro pack, which is what i bought and mine doesn't have either lol. God knows whats going on at Audi. The only good thing I've heard is there will be new badge for the front grill from early next year.
