First of all, HI!
Im new to the forum and didn't want to enter like this...(posting a thread 3m after register), but it seems like I have ran out of options.
In Short:
I have and Golf 1.4 swapped for an 1.8T Audi A3 8L engine. Interior wiring harness is "gone". Need to fix. Don't know what cable goes with what. Need to know the pinout of plugs that are in the image that I attached.
Background story:
I must confess, I am an imposter as you all might say.
I am the proud owner of an Golf MK4, and you would probably be questioning now what is a Golf MK4 owner posting a thread on an Audi A3 Topic.
Well I always wanted to own a 1.8T and not the TDI version of the Golf, but in my country the GTI version is a BIG OVERPRICED CAR, so in resume no cash no car.. But after a long time searching it appeared a guy that was selling a "project car" that was in fact a Golf 1.4 with a 1.8T swapped. At the time, to me it would only make sense to make this swap from an imported Golf MK4 GTI to the 1.4 chassi, but no. The ex owner of the car had taken off the engine of an Audi A3 8L. So after viewing the car in person, I made the decision to bought it. It was a cheap price for what I was wanting, and it was a "project car" which was a thing I was looking after too. I now have the car for about 4 months and it's running daily and strong. Of course I already put in a lot of work on this car, as you can imagine.
The problem:
Some days ago I was repairing the door cards of the Golf and to do that you have to remove the door panel, after removing the door panel I came across an abdomination of wiring that was all taped using eletrical tape. After investigating I noticed that one of the cables had melted (problably a long time ago). So I kept diging and discovered that the interior harness of the car is a mix of an Audi and Volkwagen wiring. I want to "repair" the wiring that was miss connected and connect some components of the car without catching it on fire. The hard part is that there is no wiring diagrams online for the parts of the car that I need. I have searched a lot (maybe badly), and didn't find nothing.
I uploaded an image (taken from the internet) of the interior harness plugs of the car, that is located on the left side of the car, under the dashboard and at the left of the clutch pedal protected by a plastic cover (at least on the Golf that is). I need to know what each cable is responsible for to connect it to the golf new wiring on the door( I found one on a salvaged car, the one that was in the car was actually trash and couldn't be salvage). If anyone on the forum is capable of finding the information of the pinout of this plugs/ finding the wiring harness diagram or knowing by head what each cable is responsible for I would be very thankfull.
PS: Sorry if I wrote too much or if I mispronounced a sentence/word or misspelled something, English is not my first language.
Sorry too if I missed the right location of the thread, I hope that I don't cause miss location of the thread or any type of miss conduct on the forum.
Have a nice drive. Be safe. And if you took the time to read this stupid thread Thanks.
