I've seen a few threads out there (unfortunately without pictures now as they're so old) and I'm about to attempt this

Got the lights

8x0945093b
8x0945094b

I've checked, and my original halogen units have 6 pins and the LEDs use 6 pins in an 8 pin plug. Albeit a different shaped plug.

I was going to order a conversion loom from eBay or similar but it's pretty confusing on which to buy

Anyone done this and got a link for what to order? I've attached images of my halogen unit and the plug on the new led unit.

Led = left
halogen = right

Or I was also thinking I could just order the correct plugs (8x0945094b) and re wire them as they've got the same number of wires. Has anyone got a wiring diagram or a guide to do it this way?

Ive got vcds so I can tackle the coding later

Amy help appreciated

Not sure if you got round to this. It’s been a few months, but there’s a seller on eBay who sells the retrofit looms.

I bought one when I changed my rear lights and had no problems. If you still need them Pm me and I’ll send you the link. (Unsure if eBay links are allowed on here)

Apologies. Been too busy to update. Yes got this working. Likely with the same loom and seller on eBay. Very simple plug and play on the lights. Coding was a little problematic.
After purchasing the seller gives you coding instructions. These may work on some modules but didn't on mine. I shall grab some pictures this weekend of the installation and my coding to help any future installations

No worries, all good now you’ve got it working.

The coding is the hardest part of this if you’ve not done any coding before.

Very nice and simple mod that looks much better imo. Only downside is the price of the light units can be crazy money.
