Bitdi active exhaust sound is quieter

Hi all, noticed last week that the active exhaust is not as loud as it used to be, just under 60k miles , 2013 saloon. Is it possible the module is faulty , if so, where can I find it on the car to replace it?

Some details here but not specific to A6. At the very least you’re going to need to scan the car with VCDS to see if it throws up any error logs. I didn’t realise the tech involved to be honest.
