Facelift B&O Issue After Upgrading to MIB2 High and Gen2 Amp

Hi all. I have a 2020 A3 sedan(8V facelift). Approximately 5 months ago I've retrofitted the complete B&O system with a MIB2 STD head unit and gen1 amp. It was working perfectly. I had sound controls bass treble subwoofer, surround effects etc. A week ago I've decided to upgrade my car with the Harman MIB2 High unit and gen2 amp. We've got CP removed and coded both units. Unfotunately, rear door speakers and the right surround spekar near to the subwoofer are crackling on low frequencies and high volumes. Also after some time driving around and listening to music, if the volume is more than half the volume bar, volume gets noticeably lower automatically(But the sound level bar stays same). I am posting an amateur scan below. I would appreciate any suggestion and solution. Gen2 amp is not from an A3 but from an R8 i guess because the part number is 4s0 035 465

You are absolutely correct. However we do not have access to all the correct parts in Turkey since the distributor of vag vehicles is a pain in the …. So we are trying to do our best with second hand parts. Now i am on the hunt for the correct amp. Hope i find it.

I have solved the problem with replacing the amp. Apparently, the first amp was faulty. Not because it was another amp but because some of it hardware was fried. I replaced the amp with a new one that was appropriate for my car, removed cp, coded and flashed the dataset. It works like a charm now.

technically the R8 and A3 amps are different. Glad you sorted your issue.
