Oil consumption

Hello , I have a 2019 1.5 tfsi petrol Audi A1. I’m using nearly a full tank of oil every 5000 miles . Is this normal . Thans

How many miles does your car have? Are you also using high performance and high revs? In normal driving, 0.5 liters per 1000 km is said to be normal. For 5000km it should be max 2.5 liters. Chip tuninig etc. in the vehicle changes the way it is used.

The car has 67860. But have just been informed hydraulic tappets have seized and big ends have moved due to swarf in oil. Would you be able to drive the car these problems have occurred. Thanks for your time
