Hi,just newly joined, i had 2 new front tyres , then few days afterwards TPMS registers on on board computer…. Does say “Tyre Pressure Monitoring Fault” when first start the car. Nothing wrong with tyre pressure, as had these checked past few weeks every time it happens. Was advised in passing at one garage this is a recall/manufacturing flaw with ABS module in USA, although cannot find anything to confirm my model car covered by this. Can anyone advise if this is a common fault, or possible recall, although my cars quite old now. Have appointment with Audi dealership next week for diagnostics but dreading expensive repairs, so any help/advice appreciated.

Hi,

It would help is you could get someone to have a look with VCDS or alike. That said the common TPMS issues are caused by the batteries (low voltage/corrosion) or faulty/damaged unit. I would check these before looking at a ABS module fault. I see the tyres were changed just before the issue...
